Who processes your data
Controller: Τιμόμετρο, Ελλάδα.
Contact: info@timometro.gr
What we collect
- Your basket is stored only in your browser (localStorage). It never leaves your device and we cannot see it.
- Language: one functional cookie remembering Greek or English.
- Contact messages: whatever you submit in the contact form, plus a timestamp. Without an email address we cannot reply.
- Server logs (IP, time, page) for security and debugging.
No account is required. We do not build user profiles.
Anonymous usage statistics
We record what is searched for, not who searched. For each action we keep only the event: the search term, the category, the day, and, when you click through to a chain's online shop, which chain and the basket total.
No IP address is stored, there is no cookie or other identifier linking two actions together, and no location is recorded. Two searches by the same person are two unrelated rows to us, with no key that could join them. Terms that look like an email address, a phone number or a long number are discarded before anything is written.
This data is anonymous and may be published or provided to third parties in aggregate form — for example "searches for olive oil rose 20% this month". Any group with fewer than 20 events is suppressed, so no output can be traced to one person. Raw analytics rows are deleted after 400 days.
Because no identifier is kept, we cannot tell which rows relate to you and therefore cannot delete them individually. That is a consequence of not identifying you, not a refusal.
Address search on the map
If you type an address into the map, the query is forwarded from our own server to OpenStreetMap. Your address and your IP never reach a third party together. Results are cached without any link to you.
Traffic measurement (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit and which pages they read. Google acts as processor and may transfer data outside the EU under the standard contractual clauses.
Nothing loads or is stored before you answer: Google's tag starts in a denied state (Consent Mode) and changes only if you press accept. Decline or ignore the banner and no measurement cookie is set.
This is separate from our own aggregate statistics, described above, which never record who searched.
Advertising
The site may display advertising through Google AdSense. If enabled, your consent is requested before any advertising cookie is set, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
